Here at AC Waste, we know how tedious and troublesome working consistently in waste collection settings can be. And yet, there are still men and women that choose to make this their profession and work day in and day out to keep our streets and communities clean.

Any average day can be a lot to handle, considering all the hazardous waste that they come in close proximity to, but the current state of the day-to-day activity is heightened with new problems.

COVID-19 has made a noxious job even more unhygienic. With opportunity increased in contracting this deadly virus, our waste workers are a huge part of the front line team that is fighting this battle on our behalf. Now more than ever it is even more important to keep our neighbourhoods and cities clean in order to decrease the spread.

To Our Waste Workers…

We would like to thank all the front line waste workers for your continuous hard work and management of the public needs. In the heart of the call to stay home, you are some of the bravest people, providing essential services and making sure our households stay clean. For some of us, the only thing that has changed is our location of where we work, and for others maybe a little bit more but our homes still feel like home. Although this is not just another day at work, your consistency helps our residences feel as though nothing has changed and for that we are all truly grateful.

Our economy might be on a break but our commitment to making sure the environment is being looked after is still on our radar. Waste collectors are the ones who are going the extra mile and making sure the chemicals and heavy metals that are found in waste are not being added into our groundwater.

From the bottom of our compactors, we want to say thank you for everything you are doing. It is not without notice.
